Montale is a Parisian niche perfume house founded in 2003 by perfumer Pierre Montale. Inspired by his twenty years of experience at the courts of Arabian royal families, he creates intense fragrances based on oud, rose, amber and musk. Montale became the first ambassador of oud to the West and today has more than 100 fragrances in its range.
Montale works with high concentrations of 20 to 35 percent perfume oil, significantly higher than most fragrances. Combine that with heavyweight raw materials such as oud, amber and musk, and you get fragrances that remain on the skin for twelve hours or more. The aluminium bottle also protects the essences from light to preserve quality.
The most requested Montale fragrances are Arabians Tonka (spicy, sweet and warm with oud), Intense Café (coffee and rose), Roses Musk (delicate rose and musk), and Black Aoud (the icon that started it all).
